ÖĞRENCİLERİN KÜRESEL ÇEVRE SORUNLARINA BAKIŞLARI VE KAVRAM YANILGILARININ BELİRLENMESİNE YÖNELİK GELİŞİMSEL BİR ARAŞTIRMA

The aim of this study is to determine how pre-knowledge and misconceptions of students relate to global environment issues; global warming, greenhouse effect, ozone depletion, acid precipitations. Developmental research method was used in this study. The sample of this study consisted of 280 students at 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th grade. Survey including open ended questions was used for data collection. Simple methods were used for the analysis of the survey. Tables including frequency and percantage worths were used for data analysis process. Specially, it can be said that students at primary stage didn't have enough information about acid precipitation and greenhouse effects. Also it can be concluded that students from primary education to secondary education have misconceptions related to ozone depletion. At the end of the study; it can be concluded that students should be concluded related to basic environment problems from the beginning of elemantary education.
