Homework is placed in learning strategies, which have direct effect on learning.Type, quality, duration and purpose of given homework should be well planned and feedback related with the homework should be given to students immediately.Reviewing of the homework should be done not only by teachers, but also by parents. In this study, homework has been defined in terms of types and purpose and instructional effects of homework on education have been discussed. While giving homework, teachers should consider student's level, originality and duration and feedback of homework, have been mentioned.ln addition, responsibilities of school, teacher and family are stressed in reaching goals of homework.
