Characteristic Features of Geography Education in General Secondary Education Institutions are examined in accordance with two different reasons. One is; to spot the background Geography knowledge of the universty students during their seconder/ education. The other is to determine the changing perspectives on Geography Education and their results, during the on going general reconstruction of Turkish National Education. As a result, General Secondary Education Institutions, Geography teachers, students, cirriculums and coursebook are presented In their present forms and features.
