THE PLACE OF CHARACTER ANALYSIS IN FICTION: “BINTEPE’NIN HAYALETI” AS AN EXEMPLIFICATION

Character is one of the important element that forms events and expression in a work and it is examined with various aspects in work. Some elements such as character's experiences, emotions, thoughts, conflicts that are met with themselves and circle move plot and determine relation between work and reader. Identification that readers will correlate with the characters procures qualification for act of reading. This situation is specially an important factor in children's literature. Children meet new people who are except the limited people in their daily life when they read a work. They have new adventures and experiences by way of new person and they perceive relationship regarding to life and people. Since they face possible issue, they get information regarding appropriate solutions. Child readers feel loneliness less often by means of same age characters in a work. Children feel and think as characters by way of well-formed physical and mental features of the characters, attitudes of manage for events and this configuration must be away from coincidence and mention demonstratively. After curiosity element be incorporated into fiction readers participate process of reading effectively by identification. In this study, it will be analyse characters who appear in "Bintepe'nin Hayaleti" (The Ghost of Bintepe) of Nur İçözü and exemplify properties of characters and process of development, then will be determine place of them in fiction. It will be discuss place of the work in children’s literature by means of data that obtained from analysis.
