The Internet and the online learning environments have created new opportunities by diversifying the training of the foreign language teachers. Contribution to this is brought about by the constructivist approach with its assumptions about learning and knowledge, multiple perspectives and modes of learning, the complexity of learning environments and learner autonomy. Today, Turkish Ministry of National Education supports the constructivist approach, the use of technology in the classroom and diversifying the classroom environments. With these in mind, Istanbul University, Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty of Education, English Language Teaching Department is employing an online learning environment MOODLE to train the language teachers. This study, within the context of constructivist approach, exemplifies the applications MOODLE provides for the lessons.
