This research has been conducted to define the opinions of the gifted students who attended Science and Art centers about science and the factors affecting those opinions.

The scale used in the research consists of two subdivisions. The first division of the scale includes the questions aimed to define the demographic characters of students. The second division consists of science attitude scale prepared to determine the students’ thoughts about science and technology. This scale provides information about the students’ perceptions for the science classes in school, their motivation, their confidence over their own skills, and their perceptions and scientific implications. After statistical analysis of the liability of the scale was found to be α=0.83. This scale was applied to 200 gifted students between 11-13 ages, attending seven different science and art centers carrying out their activities within the body of Ministry of National Education in 2011-2012 academic year.

As a result of statistical analysis, demographic similarities and differences were observed between the gifted students’ opinions about scientists and their attitudes about science in terms of some factors when compared to the literature. In order to increase the students’ interests in this subject, it is necessary to guide them to research projects which will be done themselves and to make cooperation with the scientists. By this way, acquirement of the logic of scientific study should be provided.
