Emerging adults and trainers of public education centres are the ones who might be regarded as ignored in terms of adult education. The literature review method has been used for this study which aims at discussing the cognitive and sensual strength of poetry for such learners. Since it was used for education in ancient times and recent years, the poetry has been a unique educational material which may be assumed as both too old and brand new. Recent research has shown that through poetry's distinctive features, it is possible to improve emotional intelligence and permanent learning. Therefore, it is recommended that the poetry be utilized systematically in non-formal educational activities in future.
