Psychosocial Characteristics, Problems and Education of Children with Learning Disability In this article, psychosocial problems of children with Learning Disability (LD) were examined.The child's with LD have many academic and social problems. These problems lead to difficulties such as poor self-esteem, frustration and other barriers in developing social skill. And children with LD are socially rejected, neglected and not accepted by peers, teachers and other adults. Rejection and low acception are associated with lack of communicative competence and reduced ability to demostrate empathic behavior of children. Children with LD report more symptoms of depression, anxiety and withdrawn etc. Support in families and school are important for children with LD. This support protects children from negative experiences. Protective and intervention programmes which prepared for children with LD, have to include such as, self- esteem, self-awareness, empathic behavior, appropriate academic support, attachment with adults and good peer relationship.
