Last 50 years had begun with blasting-off Sputnik, science education, images of scientists, attitudes and interest on science came into prominence and have been worked on. Studies incresed on elementary science education and elementary students’ images and attitudes for science and scientists because attitudes and interests develop in early ages and it is hard to change these on older ages. It is obvious that attitudes for science and scientists effect on adoptation of scientific method, thinking style, life style and choice of profession. Gifted students are seen as preferred people who can make science and get making science as a life style due to their potential and special interest on science and mthematical issues. It is attract the attention that Although gifted girls are successful at science and math issues, they highly don’t choose profession on science and math (Silverman, 1993; Summers, 2005). The purpose of this study is to investigate gifted girls’ scientific attitudes and images of scientists. The study involved 11 gifted girls in grades 7 and 8 and data gathered from Chamber (1983)’s Draw-a-Scientist Test (DAST) and Moore ve Foy (1997)’s Scientific Attitude Inventory (SAI II). As a result, beside gifted girls have high scientific attitude scores, parallel to prior studies (Demirbaş, 2009; Kemaneci, 2012) students’ perceptions about scientists are stereotypical (generally with laboratory coats, with glasses, working with experiment tubes, beakers; using tools and working indoors lonely). It is different prior studies that gifted girls drew mostly smiling female gifted girls.
