In this study, the place and importance of the field trip method situation and importance in the education of the social science teacher candidates was investigated. For that purpose, a questionnaire was applied to the students and data was analysed by means of SPSS 16 statistical program. According to the results in the research, the field trip method is identified as a factor that facilitates the comprehension of geography topics in social sciences teacher candidates’ education. Moreover, this method has enhanced the student success about the geographical subjects in social sciences education. It has been made firm that this method has an important role about it.
