The purpose of this study is to display the views of prospective Social Sciences and Science teachers on historical places and artefacts. The study sample is composed of 89 Social Sciences and 87 Science teacher trainees. In this study, where quantitative research method was applied, 'The Opinion Poll regarding Historical Places and Artefacts' (TAMEGÖ) survey comprising 17 questions was used. The general analysis of trainee views indicates that Science teacher trainees have more positive thoughts about historical places and artefacts than Social Sciences teacher trainees. The study involves a discussion of possible underlying reasons for the variation between attitudes and offers some suggestions on this issue.
