Lise Öğretmenleri ile Lise Öğrencilerinin Yaşam Tarzları Arasındaki Farklılıklar

The objective of this research is to determine the differences between the lifestyles of teachers working in state high schools and the students studying at the same schools in Istanbul. For this research, a general survey method was used. The population of research was the high school students and their teachers in the 2000-2001 education period. The sampling of this research are the 101 teachers teaching in 9 state high schools and 300 students. Research was done in 7 districts of Istanbul. The researcher collected data related with the research after the poll prepared by the researcher was applied to high school teachers and students in the high schools indicated in the sampling. For the analysis of the data, two dimensioned Variance Analysis and t Test were used. The análisis of the data show that the frequency of listening to music of both the teachers and the students are respectively high. However, students more frequently listen to music than the teachers. The frequency of going to movies when compared with opera, ballet, and plays, is much higher for both groups. Television watching frequency is very high for both the students and the teachers. The teachers are reading other books than the textbooks more frequently than the students. Although reading newspaper frequency is high in both groups, teachers more often read newspapers than the students. It is found that the students rarely use Internet for preparing to their lessons, where as the teachers never use this method. Teachers are more interested in politics than the students, but the level of active participation in politics is very low for both groups. It is determined that students are worshipping and participating in sports more than the teachers. As a result it can be stated that there is significant differences between the lifestyles of teachers and students.
