ELECTRONIC COURSE MATERIALS USAGE: EXAMPLE OF ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY DISTANCE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING PROGRAMME

E-learning and distance education implementations are developing rapidly according to today’s learning needs. In this context, e-learning materials in the world are emerging on many platforms. According to the enriched blended learning approach, more than one type of material is intended for use in the learning environment for mass education. In parallel to this, distance education program carried out in Turkey; online courses and presenting course materials at least available in the pdf format and this has become mandatory. Besides, to what extend the students as the target audience use these materials is important. At the same time, the materials needed by the target audience to be used can determine the materials to be used. On the other hand, it is expected to contribute to measuring of education efficiency. From this perspective, the utilization rate by the target audience of the course materials is important in terms of learning.
