In the four novel series consisting of Super Journalists, Super Journalists-Mystery in the Park, Super Journalists Liquored Chocolate and Super Journalists Troublesome Invitation which was written by Aytül Akal to address the teenage audience, the adventures faced by 4 7th grade friends while preparing a newspaper with their own efforts is narrated. The adventures of the 4 friends will always be a source of inspiration for the super newspaper they prepare.

In the study the element of exaggerated curiosity used in the children novel series of Aytül Akal was examined using the scanning model. In this direction, the points that arouse curiosity of children readers were determined in the novel and based on these points, 6 codes related to the element of curiosity were formed.  These codes and the distribution of frequency values related to the curiosity element in the codes are as follows: “getting to know the heroes” (f:4), “relation of heroes with the event is being established” (f:11), "participation of heroes to the event" (f:14), Clue seeking of heroes" (f:67), "heroes in the event" (f:82), "evaluation of heroes" (f:10). The code on which the curiosity element is focused in all four novels was determined as "heroes in the event". As a result, it was concluded that the exaggerated curiosity element in the novels of the author creates an unnatural stress and combined with the series of coincidental events that gets implausible from the readers' point of view, weakening the plot. This has also led to the series’ loss of certain features attached to the literary genre of adventure.
