Foreign language teaching is directly or indirectly influenced by within and outside process factors which have an impact on its progression. In line with this perspective, the current study explores teaching German as a foreign language in Turkey by addressing to the interaction between various dimensions involved in it and uses this platform to generate a discussion of its problems and strengths with close reference to the present conditions influencing the process. The main aim is to unveil the potentials and constraints involved in German language teacher training in an overarching frame extending from theory to practice.
