Preservice Teachers’ Self-Efficacy Perception Levels Toward Web Pedagogical Content Knowledge

In this research, it was aimed to determinepre-service teachers’ self-efficacy perception levels towards web pedagogicalcontent knowledge (WPCK) and examine them in terms of different variables. Theparticipants of the study consist of 96 senior preservice teachers (60 femalesand 36 male), registered to Science Teaching, Mathematics Teaching and SocialStudies Teaching Undergraduate Programs at Hasan Ali Yucel Faculty of Educationin Istanbul University.  The WebPedagogical Content Knowledge (WPCK) Scale, developed by Lee, Tsai, and Chang(2008) and adapted into Turkish by Horzum (2011) was used to explore pre-serviceteachers’ WPCK. The data analysis was performed using SPSS 16.0 software. As aresult of the research, it was found that pre-service teachers’ self-efficacyperception levels toward WPCK varied based on having a personal computer, computerusage time, computer/internet usage frequency and programs currently enrolled.
