It is well known the fact that one of the most important application areas of mathematics is physics and students have difficulties in this area. The most important reasons of the students' difficulties in physics problems solving are the lack of information in general physics and basic terms of operational processes. The aim of this study is to determine mathematics self-efficacy beliefs of pre-service science teachers and to take their views on ability of physics problem solving by using math knowledge. This study was conducted with 174 pre-service science teachers at education faculty, department of primary science education . To determine self-efficacy beliefs of the pre-services, Mathematics Self Efficacy Against Perception Scale (MSAPS) which was developed by Umay (2000) were used. To take their views on ability of physics problem solving by using math knowledge, a questionnare was developed by experts and applied. In data analysis, SPSS 13.0 was used. The results were commented obtained from scale, frequency and percentage tables of the questionnaire. According to the data analysis, it was found that Science Education Pre-services have high mathematics self-efficacy beliefs and the result were discussed.
