In this study the relationship of the emotional intelligence and the decision making strategies of adolescents was investigated. The participants were 384 adolescents (204 girls, 180 boys). The students were administered the EQ-NED to determine their emotional intelligence, the Decision Making Strategies Scale to determine their decision making strategies and the personal information form that was developed by the researcher so determine some demographic characteristics. In the study,Pearson Correlation Coefficent Technique and t-test were used to analyse and explain the data. It was found that the emotional intelligence is higher in girls than the boys, that there is a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and logical decision making and that there was no significant relationship between dependent decision making strategy and emotional intelligence.
