In this study, families with gifted children exhibit examines the relationship between parental attitudes and children’s level of intelligence. 2011-2012 academic research in the age group of 6 was carried out with the 87 gifted children and their families. Stanford-Binet intelligence test to determine the level of intelligence of children, family attitudes in the determination of Demir (2007) developed and standardized by the Parental Attitudes Scale. Child-rearing attitudes of the children of families in sub-dimensions of the scale is applied in accordance with the investigation of the effect of high levels of intelligence, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient technique of regression analysis between variables in a procedure performed by operations. Research results found closely associated with parents’ attitudes towards children’s intelligence, giftedness as the most powerful predictor of the attitude of overprotective parents have been identified.
